A pleasant promenade in the typical Renaissance Roman district among nice squares and famous buildings.

  • Piazza della Cancelleria, whose name comes from the snow white gorgeously decorated façade of the 15th century Palace, where the Apostolic Chancellery had its seat.
  • Campo dei Fiori, a picturesque Roman square surrounded by medieval and renaissance small buildings whose name derives from the Flowering Field that till the Renaissance was really there.
  • Piazza Farnese with the huge Farnese Palace, commissioned by Pope Paolo III in 1514 and accomplished, among others, by Michelangelo.
  • Piazza Capo di Ferro with Palazzo Spada, that clearly reveals the influence of Michelangelo. The palace hosts the Italian Council of State.
  • Via Giulia, a cobblestone street lined nearly end-to-end with churches and elegant palaces among whom Palazzo Sacchetti that can be recognized from two memorable scenes in the Oscar-winning 2013 movie: The Great Beauty.
